West Virginia Nursing Home Neglect At the end of the year 2002 there are an estimated 10,157 residents combined in all of the nursing homes within West Virginia.  Statistics have also shown that one resident for every three nursing homes in the United States are cited for many different kinds of abuses committed against its patients every year. West Virginia nursing  home neglect has been reported by several aggrieved residents through their relatives and their respective legal counsel. These reports are very alarming because they include inflicting physical as well as emotional pain to the residents of these assisted living facilities.
